Sailors Choice Frequently Asked Questions
-
Absolutely! No fishing experience is required. Our courteous and friendly crew will assist you.
-
It all depends on what type of fish are in season. Our daily catches are predominately snapper and grouper, but everything from amberjack to wahoo has been caught aboard the Sailors Choice.
Your captain and crew are up-to-date on the most recent limit details and will update everyone with this information at the start of the trip. We catch all kinds of fish, so reaching the limits is hard to do.
-
We guarantee that our captain and crew will do everything they can to help you catch fish, but we cannot guarantee that a fish will be caught. You can either catch and release or keep your catch to eat. Our crew is more than happy to fillet your catch when you get back to the dock.
-
We will go anywhere from 4 to 8 miles out. It generally takes us 30 to 45 minutes to get to the area where we’ll fish, so the rest of the time will be spent fishing away!
-
All gear is included, license and all. You are more than welcome to bring your own, but the price of the ticket remains the same and does include everything you need to fish with a rod, reel, bait, and tackle.
-
Advance purchase is highly recommended, as trips often sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the day and time you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
-
Our trips run rain or shine! In the case of extreme or unsafe weather conditions, we will cancel the trip up to an hour before the start time and you will be able to reschedule or receive credit for a future trip. With our Florida weather, we can generally wait about 15 minutes and the weather clears up.
